Are you a planner or a procrastinator when it comes to Christmas shopping?
I’m a procrastinator for sure! Every year I make a promise to get my Christmas shopping done ahead of time. But I can’t seem to start shopping until the week before Christmas.
If you find yourself in last-minute Christmas shopping mode, don’t worry.
Here’s some last minute Christmas ideas that can make your shopping go a little easier with less headaches!
1. Monthly clubs
You can find just about any kind of monthly club that your gift recipient is interested in – salsa, books, desserts, wines, beer, barbeque sauce. Your gift will be the one Christmas gift keeps on giving throughout the year.
2. Gift cards
Some people think gift cards are boring, but I love receiving them!
Another plus for giving gift cards…they can take advantage of all the awesome after-Christmas sales!
You can either place the gift card in a gift card tin (a lot of retailers like Target and Kohls sell these) or wrap it up just like any other gift. Better yet, you can dress up your gift just by adding a decorative jar (which can be found at dollar stores) filled with their favorite candy.
3. Handmade gifts
Depending on how crafty you are, there are tons of ideas out there for handmade Christmas gifts. If you have an hour or two, check out Pinterest for the most awesome handmade gifts. Things like handmade Christmas ornaments, picture frames, jewelry, home décor, the list just goes on and on.
And since it’s made by you, this will make the gift extra special!
4. Food gifts
Who doesn’t love receiving food gifts during the holidays? Breads, cakes, cookies, cupcakes and much more make great gifts for teachers, neighbors and friends.
Presented in holiday pans or tins (you can find these at dollar stores), these are sure to be popular with everyone.
Just make sure to let your tasty treats cool sufficiently before wrapping them.
5. Memberships and subscriptions
When we need to cut back on our budget, memberships and subscriptions are usually the first to go.
Has someone on your gift list been meaning to join a gym. Why not give them a membership for Christmas? Or renew a subscription to their favorite magazine.
6. Gift baskets
Many stores have these on display during Christmas time. For teachers and co-workers, baskets with food or mugs with coffee or hot chocolate are a safe bet.
Or design your own gift basket that reflect their tastes.
Even though these are last-minute gift ideas, they’re still gifts that show you care. And isn’t that what Christmas is all about?
